1949 Panhead Chopper just recently finished by Clay Forrey of Sonny Boy Customs here in Tucson. Rebuilt matching cases 1949 Panhead engine. Vin is unaltered and correct. All of the best internal parts were used. Carb is a vintage S&S B with hand hammered copper bird deflector. Joe hunt Magneto fires this baby right up. 4 speed ratchet top transmission was rebuilt. Primo 3" belt drive and diaphram clutch. This bike is Jockey Shift, foot clutch. Frame is an original 49 with a 1-1/8" neck for the VL springer and. Back bone and down tubes were made of chromolley and tig welded. 3/4" up and 33 degree rake to accomodate the 1" longer than a stock panhead VL springer. Springer was rebuilt with new springs and bushings. All controls and Nickel plated custom pipes were hand made. Amen gas tank from the 70's was cut and made into a fuel/ oil tank. 1.8 gallon fuel capacity and 3 1/2 quarts of oil including the oil cooler. Fender is off a 36 ford spare cover. Springer seat is much more comfortable than it looks. All of the black parts you see are a "black oxide" coating. 19 and 16" rims finished in tarnished nickel. Headlamp is an old spotlight with tractor bulb. Custom Faux Paint by Johnny Sewell of Hi Speed Customs in Tucson.
