1969 El Camino ss

1969 El Camino SS. Numbers matching 396 325hp "JK" suffix code. 7 years ago the owner of this car started a restoration. He rebuilt the engine, painted the car in its original color as noted on the trim tag, "Hugger Orange", redid the interior and the vinyl top. He then ran out of money and let the car sitting outside in the hot AZ sun to bake until I bought it about 6 months ago. We put some time in it and got it running, bled the brakes, etc. This car runs and drives good, but still needs to be finished. Paint is worn out from the sun. Interior is Ok. Headliner is original and shows minor wear. Carpet is faded. Seat is nice. Door panels are nice, but the chrome strip has some blemishes. Dash pad is in overall good shape with no cracks. It looks like it was recovered. Gauge lenses are foggy, but could be polished up. All of the trim was removed from the car when it was repainted and never put back on. It appears to be all there and in good usable shape, but may need rechroming/ polishing. There may be a few parts missing so please look at all of the pictures. From what I can see it looks like it is all there . Body is straight with no dents. Door gaps are nice. Tailgate fits good, but there is an area of rust in the bottom that needs repaired. (just on the bottom and you can only see it with the tailgate below) The rest of the car is rust free with the exception of some very minor pinholes in the compartment under the bed. (pics below, and i put pressure on it and there are no soft spots.) The floor pans look like rust, but its just surface, not pitted. The kind that comes off with sandpaper. The bed on this truck is very nice with no dents. Tires are dry rotted, I had to throw a spare rally rim on to drive it because one was very bad. It comes with all 4 american racing rims. This car was nicely optioned with AC, Power steering, Power disc brakes, and turbo 400 automatic transmission. It would not take much to get this rare SS El Camino back on the road.
