1941 Crosley
Street Legal Crosley Gasser for your driving pleasure. Professionally built to replicate some of its brothers who terrorized the drag strips in the late 60's. This car was built by an experienced Fabricator and Mechanic, unlike most other rat rod projects taken on by novice builders. Custom built 2x3 frame with shortened 9" in the rear. Fully adjustable 4 link with Panhard Bar and Coilovers. Front suspension is from an old Willys Gasser. Fresh 350 chevy small Block with a hefty cam, Mallory ignition, fender well headers, Edelbrock tri-power with new Rochester Carbs, and custom Valve covers. Electric fan for cooling. Backed by a built turbo 350 transmission. This car has a custom exhaust with mufflers, but cut outs in the fender wells unplugged will wake up the neighbors. Custom aluminum 15 gallon fuel tank. All running lights, headlights, and brake lights work. All gauges work except for the fuel. Horn is off a 39 ford and is very loud. Smoothie wheels with candy red Metalflake topped with new white wall vintage reproduction tires. Body is rust free with no patch panels. 40 year old orange paint job which was professionally done at the time. Very nice patina throughout, a few bullet holes from a 45, some dents, plenty of chips, and some fauxed sign paint. I have been driving this car to and from work this week and it has been a ton of fun. You can sit in traffic all day and it will not go over 190 degrees. Hit the throttle and it will burn rubber in all 3 gears. This car rides straight and is very stable. I have had it up to around 65 cruising and it rides great. We cruised this thing around Pomona last week uncapped and I can honestly say no other car got more positive attention. Previously registered in CA and comes with a 1941 License plate. More fun than a barn full of hookers.
