He built this bike for himself, completing most of the design and fabrication on July 4th, 2001. This bike is small, low and fast it is everything the perfect chopper should be. Billy chopped away at the vintage frame, gusseting and molded a fat-single downtube to the stock forward casting, and relocating a “new’’ 1935 neck, a bit lower than stock. It helps give this bike that attitudinal stance. Billy cut the backbone to add more spinal curvature, sectioned and widened the lower rails and the rear end. This truly one-off frame retains all its Milwaukee castings, its updated form, and includes some serious touches of class that the factory forgot. The Knuckle Sandwich bike is the tastiest example of how to blend old school cool with a slice of future technology for the comfort of the modern rider.
