Very rare 1974 Caprice 454 convertible. Current owner purchased the car 5 years ago and did a light mechanical and cosmetic restoration. Car had one repaint of the original color that is better than original quality on the exterior, but the door jambs have some overspray in them. Paint under decklid and door jambs is original. Floor pans are very solid and original. Lower rocker panels have some bubbling from minor rust as well as behind the wheel wells. Drivers door has a small rust hole on the inside of the front corner. (inside the jamb, not on the exterior) It also has a bondo spot on the rear corner, also on the inside. All chrome is original and shows wear from age. Interior is new and is in great shape. Dash is original with no cracks. AC blows ice cold. All gauges seem to work fine. Shift lever is missing the knob on the end. Power top is new with new rubber seals. Goes up and down without any problems. All of the power windows work. Remote mirror has the knob broken off, but it is still semi adjustable. Rolls on almost new Michelin tires and has the original wire wheel hubcaps. Original 454 engine was rebuilt an estimated 25-30,000 miles ago. Recently withen the last 1000 miles carb was rebuilt, new spark plugs, wires, cap, and rotor were replaced. Water pump and radiator were rebuilt. All of the brakes were done from the master cylinder back. New u joints were installed in the driveshaft. This car runs and drives great. Perfect for affordable top down summer cruising.
